Generous Austin Artists

Part of our mission as the HOPE FM is to involve artists in building community and increasing access to healthy food in Austin. Through our monthly poster series, local artists contribute to the cause, creating beautiful posters for display in the HOPE Gallery and for sale at the Market. Over the past 3 1/2 years, we have over 40 posters in the collection – representing a wide range of up-and-coming and more established local talent!

Another local organization that shares in this effort is Generous Art – “strengthening our communities by supporting nonprofits and artists through the sale of fine art.” Through their website and events, you can buy great art and donate to the local nonprofit of your choice all at once – as 40% of each sale goes to the organization of your choosing!

Generous Art is all about creativity, community and business – supporting artists, valuing their work, and giving back at the same time. The organization was founded by Jennifer Chenoweth, a local artist and neighbor to the Market – her Fisterra Studio is just down the street and is one of our favorite stops each year on the E.A.S.T tour!

Recently, two local artists – Judith Simonds and Kerry Schroeder – sold pieces through Generous Art, and the buyers chose the HOPE FM as the benefiting organization. THANK YOU Judith, Kerry and your generous buyers! Your support came at the perfect time, as we move into Plaza Saltillo and increase our community outreach this Spring.

If you too want to support the Market – please join us on Amplify Austin Day, March 4-5… or just go ahead and DONATE today!
